| In 1992, the American Institute for Neuro-Integrative Development (AIND), was formed as a 501(c)(3) Connecticut not-for-profit corporation to develop Giant Steps School, a CT State-approved private school for students, ages 3-21 years, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or other neurological impairments. Giant Steps School provides students with a distinctively comprehensive and specialized program to meet their individual educational and therapeutic needs, while supporting meaningful inclusion and participation in their home school districts and communities. Our mission is to enhance the lives of children and young adults with neuro-biologically based learning and developmental disabilities by creating and maintaining outreach, educational, recreational and therapeutic programs and supporting related clinical and medical research. |
